Requesting an Account

Access requests must be made through the GLPI ticketing system (hpc-helpdesk.fieb.org.br) or via email (hpc@fieb.org.br). The access request process is described below.

  1. Access Request: The applicant must initiate the process by sending an email to the Supercomputing Center requesting a user account.

  2. Account Creation: The Network Operations Center (NOC) receives the request and creates the user in the GLPI system. Subsequently, the NOC sends the access credentials to the applicant by email.

  3. Receipt and Signing of Terms: The NOC will forward the Acceptable Use Policy and the Confidentiality Agreement to the applicant. The applicant needs to read, understand, and sign these documents.

  4. Generation of SSH Public Key: The NOC will also provide the procedure for generating the SSH public key, which must be followed by the applicant.

  5. Submission of Signed Documents and SSH Key: The applicant must return the signed terms and their SSH public key to the NOC.

  6. Association or Creation of Project: If the project to which the new user is intended is already registered, the applicant will be associated with it. If the project does not exist, a new one will be created. All projects need to be approved by the Supercomputing Center's management committee.

  7. Access Approval: Once the access request is approved by the project manager, the applicant will receive an email with instructions for configuring the MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) Token OTP, as well as detailed system access instructions.
